I wake up every morning thinking of ways I can help the church reach and teach people via the gospel. If there are two words that summarize my heart for helping the church in this way, they would be church planting and equipping. I am so blessed to serve a team who shares the same heart for new/existing churches and who understands how critical an awesome website is in fulfilling the mission of the church.
Basic Stuff: My wife and I serve the church in PA with our four children. I have been starting and/or serving multiplying congregations for about fifteen years, but have also picked up some business and tech experience along the way. I currently serve the Church Plant Media team in creating long term partnerships with new/existing churches. I'm also on staff at Harvest Community Church, a multi-site church in the Northwestern region of PA. As a team Elder, I help to create systems/strategies with the purpose of equipping our church and reaching our community.
Education: B.A. from Oklahoma Baptist Univ. and a M.Div. from Southwestern Seminary
Primary Work Responsibilities: partnership development and service
Interests and favorites:
- Places: Anywhere I can wear flip flops, shorts, and a tee.
- Music: Chris Tomlin, pretty much anything that has meaningful lyrics (no cheesy lyrics allowed) that I can sing to, and starting to love country, which I hear is a sign of aging.
- Books: The Bible and anything John Piper, Dean Koontz, or Ted Dekker.
- Sports: Anything Texas Longhorns or football related.
- Movies: Anything Star Trek.
- Other loves/hobbies: Spending time with family, sci-fi, camping and sports.
- Bit of Randomness: I’m a five-time fantasy football champion. (You don’t want any of this!)
- Scripture: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. - Ephesians 2:8
