Wordpress is a great platform, but to get it to do what the typical church needs, multiple plug-ins must be installed and maintained. We also release patches and upgrades automatically, which means you'll never have to do any upgrades or maintenance installations yourself. Every detail of our CMS has been meticulously designed and coded. If you find a bug, we'll fix it. If you have a question, we'll answer it. You won't find this level of service with most companies, and if you do, it won't be free.

Our monthly system access includes much more than just hosting. It includes the CMS license, continual updates to the core CMS modules, hosting, e-mail support, and toll-free telephone/online support. So you're getting much more than just hosting; you're getting a complete, fully managed package. Regarding "unlimited hosting" from other vendors; there is no such thing. Running an "unlimited" amount of data through a hosting account will result in sluggish load times and server crashes. We don't make unrealistic promises; with us, you know exactly what you're getting.

Church Plant Media falls in the middle when it comes to pricing. There are solutions that are less than us, and there are others that are quite a bit higher. We firmly believe in creating a company that will last; one that will be around to serve our partners for years to come. We do this by setting our prices at a fair level and by serving our partners with excellence.

Not from us. The only other thing you'll need is a domain name, which you can purchase from a domain registrar such as register.com for about $10 annually.

Yes. Many website solutions have a Content Management System (CMS) that is used to update the information on the public site. The CMS that Church Plant Media has developed is not only easy to update, but fun to use as well. Without any need to know programming languages, you are in control of your text, photos, navigation, events, sermons, blogs, video, audio, and much more. Our CMS is completely custom and was built specifically for churches. This ensures that churches get the features they need without having to wade through the features they don't need. Another benefit of using our CMS is that you don't have to cobble together different plug-ins to get a non-church CMS to do what your church requires.

No. Our CMS is a hosted web service and we don't have plans to make a downloadable option available. By having our CMS available as a hosted service, it allows us to continually monitor the entire technical environment and ensure that your experience is fast and reliable.

Our CMS is built on the L.A.M.P. stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP).

All of our CMS features are included with every website. The only difference in our design options is the amount of customization that is included. With a Design Style, you are able to select your favorite design as-is. With our optional Full Color Customization, we will also modify the colors in the Design Style to match your church branding to perfection. With a Full Custom Design, we will create a uniquely custom design from scratch, just for your church.

Church Plant Media provides a premium service, and every one of our sites has been coded by hand. This means that your website is built under the watchful eye of our team, instead of being automatically generated by software. This results in a much higher level of quality; thus requiring more time. This level of quality cannot happen overnight, and you wouldn't want it to.

No, we primarily build designs created exclusively by and for Church Plant Media. On the remote chance that we might be open to building your design, we will need to see your final design comps before committing to your project. If building your design makes sense within our full production schedule, we will customize a quote after we review your homepage and subpage designs. It is safe to assume that the total price will be similar to, if not more than, our Full Custom Design package.

No. Most SLA's guarantee 99.9% uptime for their clients, but they build in allowed downtime. Allowed downtime includes the very things that cause a website to go down: scheduled system maintenance, network outages, hardware failures, and software issues. After these items, there is really not much else that can cause downtime. Our SLA is this: we'll do our best to keep everything running smoothly. If something does happen, we'll get it taken care of as soon as possible.

No. We do not require a minimum sign up period. Everything is month to month, and you can stop at any time.

We view the churches that we serve as partners in the Gospel. This means that we don't view ourselves as a web design company with customers; we view ourselves as a Gospel company that partners with churches to spread the Good News via technology. Because of this, we refer to our "customers" as "partners".

Yes. Check out our Statement of Belief. We will not work with any churches or organizations who do not uphold these basic principles, which are taken directly from Scripture.

There are a lot of fly-by-night web design companies. Thankfully we're not one of them. We've been in business since 1998 and have turned a profit every single year. We are privately owned, which means we don't answer to outside investors. We serve hundreds of churches, are debt-free, and manage our business according to Scripture. We feel that these facts point to us being around for a long, long time.
